Cobbler Contest

Judging:  12:00 noon

Bake your favorite cobbler, such as apple, apricot, berry, cherry, mixed fruit, peach, pear, plum, rhubarb, strawberry.

RULES

1. One entry per person on Saturday, August 22, 2009 between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon.  Contest in the East/West Building.  Entries will be judged at 12:00 noon.
2. Cobblers must be made from scratch using Martha White Flour in crust.
3. Typed recipes (8-1/2 x 11) must accompany the entry with name, address and telephone number.
4. Winning entries will be displayed during the Fair and can be picked up on Sunday, August 30, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
5. Must be 19 years or older and a Wilson County resident.

Prizes for Top 3 Winners at the Fair

1st Prize $100 and a Martha White Basket  
2nd Prize $50.00  
3rd Prize $25.00

Basis for Judging
Appearance; uniform surface; crust; texture and grain; filling taste and quality.
